They complain about Smith’s not displaying these mags properly but really they just want them to stop selling them altogether. These campaign is backed up by Object and charlie_grrl.

This blog monitors the campaign against lads mags by anti-porn feminists such as Object and charlie_grrl.

At first glance the campaign against lads mags seems about trying to get their sale properly regulated (ie: on the top shelf, covered up etc). But in reality it’s really about trying to get their sale banned completly.

Groups such as Object want supermarkets and high street retailers (such as WHSmith) top selling lads mags altogether.

The campaign isn’t about any harm caused by these magazines but about personal distate for them.
